Slingsby Partners participates in IP Panel at the Materials Society at Imperial College London

Ruby Freeman was part of an IP Panel at Imperial College London, organised by the Materials Society.  The panel offered an opportunity for students in the Materials department to learn about a career in IP and to ask questions about entering the profession.  Topics discussed covered the routes to qualification, how to prepare for interviews, and the impact of AI on inventions.

Ruby also helped to deliver an Intro to IP session which explored the different kinds of protection and investigated infringement by comparing various coffee machines.  Developing an awareness of intellectual property as an undergraduate can help to build a strong foundation for future scientists and engineers in industry.  Outreach to undergraduates is an important part of the ethos at Slingsby Partners.  As well as strong ties with Imperial College, the University of Bath, and Oxford University, we present an annual lecture at the Department of Design Engineering and Maths at Middlesex University.
