Nikki Davy

Nikki has been in the patent profession since 2005.

Nikki graduated from Queen’s University (Canada) with a degree in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honours).  Nikki then worked in her native Canada as an engineer for five years becoming a registered professional engineer in 2003. As an engineer Nikki helped to design and implement a new data network backbone for a large manufacturing company, and implement and test an integrated communication system for a large public transit organization.

Nikki subsequently obtained a law degree from the University of Toronto (Canada). She was admitted as a solicitor and barrister of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2008 and as a Canadian patent agent in 2010.  Nikki relocated to the UK in 2010 and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2013, a Chartered Patent Attorney in 2015 and a European Patent Attorney in 2016.

Nikki handles all stages of the patent process, including drafting, prosecution, opposition and litigation.  Nikki has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the UK Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office, United States Patent and Trademark Office, and Canadian Intellectual Property Office.  Nikki specialises in inventions in the electronics, communications, and software fields and has particular experience in networking, wireless telecommunications, integrated circuit design, integrated circuit verification, CPUs, GPUs, neural networks, signal processing, and satellite technology.
